The staff at Highway-T.com recommends what we call the Fat Jack's Cole Slaw Diet.  After experimenting with mail order diet meal plans, visits with specialists, studying books and references, the following is what works best for the dieters on our staff:
 
 
Fat Jack's Cole Slaw Diet
 
Breakfast:  1 cup Kellog's Raisin Bran with up to 1 cup skim milk
                 8 to 12 ounces coffee with skim milk
 
Lunch:        1/2 can of reconstituted Campbells Split Pea Soup with Ham and Bacon
                       ( a suggested substitute is Campbells ready-to-serve Corn Chowder with Chicken )
                   3/4 cup to 1 cup of Fat Jack's Cole Slaw
                   12 ounces skim milk
                   Your daily vitamins and minerals and supplements
 
Dinner:         1 Lean Cuisine frozen dinner ( remember those meals of less than 300 calories maybe lead to excessive frustration and hunger )
                    3/4 cup to 1 cup of Fat Jack's Cole Slaw
                    Diet Pepsi, Diet Coke, Diet Mountain Dew, Diet Dr. Pepper, or etc.
 
Evening Snack:  3 or 4 cups air-popped popcorn with 1/2 to 1 Tblsp of real butter
                           ( Some suggested substitutes are: Quaker Rice Cakes such as Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Apple, etc )
                                                                               occasional Lean Cuisine deserts or Weight Watchers deserts,
                                                                               a real cookie or etc a couple times a week
 
WATER!!!:    Please try  to drink a couple quarts of water daily.
 
EXERCISE!!!:  Remember the importance of exercise like 30 to 45 minutes of walking per day, or other preferred excercise.
 
DON'T overdo the excercise or drive yourself into injury or frustration with jumping into this too fast. 
 
BE SURE to reward youself weekly with a genuine meal of some favorite type.  Go to your favorite restaurant and so on.
 
Other dieters find many other sensible meal substitutes.  Eggs, dairy products and other foods have come into the news as good choices.
We find the Fat Jack's Cole Slaw useful because of the food value and fiber of the ingredients and the fact that a little tasty zip goes a long way in making a diet bearable or even exciting.
 
Fat Jack's Cole Slaw can be obtained in bulk quantities at Fat Jack's Barbecue, 6207 Monona Drive, Monona, Wisconsin 
        608-223-4220.  They are open Tuesday through Sunday, opening at 4:30pm.  You may want to try their wonderful Fish Fry,
        Chicken, and Chicken & Ribs meals on special nights and when you have earned your weekly reward.  Simply outstanding,
        both in service and quality and taste of food. 
 
        NOTE:  If you cannot get to Fat Jack's Barbecue very often, you may need purchase the house dressing used to make the
                       Slaw and make your own slaw with cabbage, carrots and maybe red cabbage, etc.  Purchase a quart or more to take,
                        ready to eat, and then take along a pint of dressing to make more slaw.
 
                       While Lean Cuisine meals are available many places, a grocery store like Woodman's has the staggering selection
                        that makes dieting tolerable for long-term periods.
